the marking mind

Hi, and welcome to my stream of consciousness. Here, you’ll find my thoughts unveiled a bit more for your entertainment, for my reflective purposes, and for the beauty of connecting. So, whether you enjoy my work or are curious about the creative process, I invite you to follow along.

For those new to my creations, I draw inspiration from my introspective view of life. I experiment with different media, allowing each to express its energy and guide me toward the best way of using it. Feel free to explore my portfolio (and soon, my shop) to get a clearer sense of what I mean.

My aim is to post every Friday, reflecting on the week’s work—whether it’s a traditional studio week or a time spent gathering ideas, thoughts, and visual influences from life beyond the studio.

You can expect reflections on self, community, the objects around me, and visuals that capture my experience of life.

If you’d like to reach out, I’m here to learn, evolve, and engage with the world around me—including you. Please feel free to message, comment, or share your thoughts.

See you next Friday :)

Snapshot to Scribble: Everyday Observations

Do you catch yourself making random annotations on your notes app? Or snapping photos of odd bits around you—peeling paint, tangled wires, scribbles in the margins? I do this all the time. Sometimes it feels like I’m collecting whispers, little clues that don’t make sense until much later.

It started off as a bit of an experiment—a medium that had been calling to me for a while. The idea of being able to customise the size, form, colour, weight, texture… the idea of giving my work a link to myself all the way through. So I set off trying to understand its needs.

The slow, the repetative and the unseen steps.

Here’s to embracing the ebb and flow, to honouring the work that doesn’t always look impressive but is no less important. To finding joy in the small victories, and to sharing this imperfect, honest journey with you.

Warmth, Hope, and Everything In Between

What colour am I now? I’ve always carried the warmth of the sun, Mediterranean lines tangled with memory. But new surroundings bring fresh light, new questions, and softer hues. This post is a look at how places, moments, and what I draw from them shape both my work and the palette I’m searching for—maybe one you’re searching for too.

holding meaning in the thread.

Ever catch yourself staring at a pencil and wondering what secrets it’s hiding? Welcome to my brain—where every fallen orange leaf, random flyer on the kitchen table, or forgotten sweet in a coat jacket, sets off a burst of curiosity. If you’ve got a soft spot for the odd bits and pieces that end up in your junk drawer or scattered around your space, you’ll feel right at home here.
